Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Ontellis is a decision intelligence service provided by Explora Studios Ltd. ("Explora Studios", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website, submit an inquiry, or work with us as a client.

Ontellis analyzes public environments. That makes privacy central to how we work, not an afterthought. This policy also describes how we treat personal information that may appear in the public sources we analyze for clients.

1. Who is responsible

Explora Studios Ltd. is responsible for personal information under its control. You can reach our privacy contact at support@explora.studio, or by mail at 19th Floor, 885 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 3H4, Canada.

When we analyze information on behalf of a client, we act in accordance with that client's instructions and our written agreement with them, and we remain accountable for how we process it.

2. Information we collect

Through this website and our commercial relationships, we may collect:

  • Inquiry details you provide through the Get Started form: first and last name, business email, organization, country, and the message you write.
  • Business contact information from clients and prospective clients in the course of scoping, contracting, and delivering the service.
  • Account information for authorized client users of the Ontellis workspace, such as name, work email, role, and access logs.
  • Technical information: basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps) needed to operate and secure the website.
  • Anti-abuse signals: when you submit the form, Cloudflare Turnstile evaluates technical signals from your browser and connection (such as IP address) to tell people from automated abuse. We also keep a temporary, salted, one-way hashed identifier derived from your connection, with a submission counter, to limit repeated submissions. It cannot be read back into an IP address, rotates daily, and expires automatically within 24 hours. It is never linked to your inquiry content.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to submit, sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government identification details) through the inquiry form.

3. Information in public sources we analyze

To deliver the service, Ontellis may process publicly available information such as news coverage, public web pages, publicly accessible social content, official documents, and transcripts, along with material supplied by the client. Some of this content may include names, public statements, or other information about individuals.

We handle it under the following principles:

  • Purpose limitation: we process public information only to analyze public discourse, issues, and environments for the agreed engagement.
  • Focus on public roles and public conversation: our work centers on organizations, public figures acting in public roles, topics, and aggregate patterns, not on profiling private individuals.
  • No covert surveillance: we do not access private accounts, closed groups, or content behind authentication without lawful authorization, and we do not bypass technical access controls.
  • Respect for source terms: collection is limited by public availability, source permissions, technical access, and the terms of each platform.
  • No sale of personal information and no use of analyzed content to build advertising profiles.
  • Human oversight: analysis that informs decisions is reviewed by people, and consequential actions require human approval.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and assess whether Ontellis is a fit for your needs.
  • To scope, contract, deliver, and support the managed service.
  • To provide and secure client access to the Ontellis workspace.
  • To operate, maintain, and protect this website and our systems.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

We will not send you marketing email without your consent, and you may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Legal basis and consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. Where other laws apply, such as the EU or UK GDPR, we rely on consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, or legal obligations, as appropriate.

6. Sharing

We share personal information only as needed:

  • With service providers that host, secure, or support our systems (for example, cloud infrastructure, email, and analytics-processing providers), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Inquiry form processors: our website hosting and email delivery provider (Lovable), which transmits your inquiry by email to our team mailbox, and Cloudflare, Inc., which provides Turnstile bot protection. The website itself does not store your inquiry content in a database.
  • With the client for whom an engagement is performed, within the scope of that engagement.
  • With professional advisers, or where required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, subject to equivalent protections.

We do not sell personal information.

7. AI-assisted processing

Ontellis uses software, including AI models, to help organize evidence, identify patterns, and draft analysis. These tools support human analysts; they do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about individuals. Client-confidential material is not used to train general-purpose models offered to third parties.

8. International transfers

We and our service providers may store or process information in Canada and in other countries, including the United States. Information processed in another country is subject to that country's laws. We use contractual and organizational safeguards to protect it.

9. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Inquiries are kept in our support mailbox and, if they do not lead to an engagement, are generally deleted within 24 months. Hashed anti-abuse identifiers expire automatically within 24 hours. Client engagement data is retained according to the client agreement and then deleted or anonymized, unless a longer period is required by law.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encryption in transit, role-based workspace permissions, and logging. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and regulators as required by law.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; withdraw consent; or object to or restrict certain processing. If you believe you are referenced in material we process for a client, you may also contact us. We may need to verify your identity, and some requests may be limited by law or by the rights of others.

To make a request, write to support@explora.studio. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, or your local data protection authority.

12. Cookies

This website uses only the technical storage needed for it to function. When the inquiry form is shown, Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary storage or signals to detect automated abuse; it is not used for advertising. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. If this changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

13. Children

Ontellis is a professional service. This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

14. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
